"Thy Will be Done."

A stewardship parish strives to nourish the soul through prayer. Prayer and the Sacraments dispose of a soul to receive God's abundant graces, which are necessary to grow in holiness. There is a deep connection between the Eucharistic celebration, thanksgiving and stewardship-- ways to thank God. "In Christian tradition, liturgy means the participation of the people of God in 'the work of God'. Through the liturgy, Christ our redeemer and high priest continues the work of our redemption in, with, and through His Church." (CCC  p.1069)

The Prayer line is composed of volunteers. Prayer comes from family and friends, from all sections of the Country, and all religious denominations. Prayer requests start with the Coordinator who then calls/texts/emails a group of volunteers. They will get the chain of names, other volunteers, going. We often receive thanksgiving prayers from those whom we have prayed for. We all share in a sense of great wonder that the power of prayers can really create miracles of faith and healing, and are comforting to those who are grieving from the lost of a loved one. -This group prays the Precious Blood Devotion every Sunday from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Church of the Holy Cross (South Transept). This is the Devotion to the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ as given by Our Lord and Our Lady and a multitude of angels and saints to a nearly illiterate Nigerian teenage boy, Barnabas Nwoye, in the village of Olo, Enugu State, Nigeria, from 1995-2003. -Our Lord told him that this is the greatest devotion He has ever given the Church and the last one He will give in this age. This is the ark that will protect and bring the Holy Catholic Church, the remnant faithful and all those you love and pray for safely through the bitter trials of coming chastisement and into the promised Era of Peace. Kyle Philbeck 620-474-2703 kylephilbeck@gmail.com What do you call a loved one who never goes to Mass, only attends Mass at Easter or Christmas or professes they are no longer Catholic? The correct term is a prodigal. This situation is not hopeless and you are not helpless. Many prayers have been offered and answered in our group which is for anyone who has struggled with the anxiety of loss of family church members. We have discovered the act of praying for them helps us to learn to let God direct them in His own way, which is not always our way. Holy Cross (lower level) Wednesday 10:15 am
-Lead rosary 25 minutes prior to 4 PM Masses on Saturdays, and 10:30 AM Mass on Sundays only. -A beautiful way to instill love and devotion in families is to pray together. The family that prays together stays together. Contact: Rosa Fast 620-664-8534 / buckman.rosa@yahoo.com
